Seventh Annual running of "Brendan's Home RunTM"
5K Race & Walk took place on
Father's Day 15 June 2008 at Belmont High School track.

saw multiple records shattered. The course used for Brendan's Home Run is certified by the USA Track & Field Road Running

Friday 6 June 2008: The
seventh annual Brendan Grant Scholarships were awarded at the Senior
Assembly at Belmont High School, Belmont, MA to class of 2008 graduating Seniors
Jonathon Smart, Micaela Hebert, and Alexander Chipman-Shervish.

Friday & Saturday, 30 & 31 May 2008: The legendary Great Pretenders
Reunion was an incredible success. They're still shakin' at their 35th
anniversary reunion tour.

Friday-Saturday, 23-24 May 2008: The
Fourth Annual Brendan Grant Memorial Baseball Tournament was held at the
beginning of Memorial Day weekend at the Brendan Grant Memorial Field.
This year's teams were Austin Prep, Belmont, Lynnfield, and Winchester,
with Belmont coming away with the
Championship crown for the second year in a row.

2/Mar, 9/Mar, 16/Mar, 30/Mar, 6/Apr & 13 April 2008: The Belmont Marauders Baseball Camp for boys
and girls ages 5 to 13 holds this activity on six consecutive Sundays at the
Belmont High School Field House from 2 March to 13 April 2008 to help
young ball players sharpen their baseball skills. This camp is
now its third full decade of service to the youth of Belmont ,
and it's co-sponsored by the Belmont Recreation Department and The Brendan
Grant Foundation. The Belmont High School Baseball team helps run
the camp, and proceeds go to the help defray their assorted costs
including the annual Brendan Grant Memorial Baseball Tournament.
Saturday, 5 January 2008: The Seventh Annual Brendan Grant Wrestling
Tournament was held at Belmont High School on Saturday 5 January
2008. This year sixteen high school wrestling teams competed during this all day tournament,
and the full story will be posted shortly. The overall team winner
this year goes to Josiah Quincy Upper School in Boston.

Previously referred to as the Belmont Invitational Wrestling Tournament, this event has for the last
27 years been one of the premier High School Wrestling gatherings of its kind in the Northeast region. During the 1999-2000 season, Brendan was one of the Captains of the Belmont High School Wrestling Team.
