Sunday, 28 October 2012:
The
Tenth Annual Brendan Grant Golf Tournament was held on Sunday 28
October 2012. Using a tee-off time of 8:30 am anda shotgun start allowed folks enough time to catch the
Patriots/Bills game later in the day. Like in previous years, the
tournament used a Florida best ball format and was once again
held at Southers Marsh Golf Course located in Plymouth, MA. A full story is still forthcoming and will be posted soon.

Sunday, 17 June 2012:
The
Eleventh Annual running of "Brendan's Home RunTM"
5K Race & Walk was held on Father's
Day 17 June 2012 at the Belmont High School track. The event was an
all-around success and included the old course records being smashed in both
the men's and women's divisions. Setting a new overall course record
was Ryan McCalmon of Belmont at 14:59, and the women's course record was set
by Jessica Minty of Arlington at 17:21. The overall race results are

Friday 1 June 2012:
The Annual Brendan Grant Scholarships were awarded
at the Senior Assembly at Belmont High School, Belmont, MA. This
was the eleventh straight year these scholarships were provided
to worthy candidates, with 22 graduating seniors having received this
honor in the past. This year's 2012 scholarships were awarded to
the following three graduating Seniors: Christian Raymond, Erin Reilly, and
Sami Baghdady.

Friday-Saturday, 25-26 May 2012:
The Eighth Annual Brendan Grant Memorial Baseball Tournament was held over the beginning of the 2012 Memorial Day weekend at the
Brendan Grant Memorial Field. This four game high school
tournament continues to be a thrill on the Brendan Grant Memorial Field
located next to Belmont High School, considered to be among the premier
amateur baseball fields in the region.

18/March, 25/March, 31/March, & 1/April 2012: The Belmont Marauders Baseball and
Hitting Clinics was held for boys
and girls ages 5 to 14 on four consecutive weekends at the Belmont
High School Field House from 18 March to 1 April 2012 to help
young ball players sharpen their baseball skills. This camp is
now its third full decade of service to the youth of Belmont,
and proceeds help to support the Marauder Baseball Program and to defray
the costs of the annual Brendan Grant Memorial Weekend Baseball
Tournament. The age groups were divided into the following age
brackets: Ages 5-7 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am; Ages 8-10 from 9:30 am to
11:00 am; Ages 11-14 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The focus for the younger players
(5-10) was to work on basic skills, while the older players (11-14)
focused more on hitting.
Saturday, 7 January 2012: The Eleventh Annual Brendan Grant Wrestling
Tournament was held at Belmont High School on Saturday 7 January
2012. It was another successful tournament with sixteen high school wrestling teams
competing during this all day tournament.

Previously referred to as the Belmont Invitational Wrestling Tournament, for the last
31 years this event has become one of the classic High School Wrestling gatherings of its kind in the Northeast region
with approximately 600 attendees throughout the day. During the 1999-2000 season, Brendan was one of the Captains of the Belmont High School Wrestling Team.
